How long are shared files and text stored?

Shares are strictly temporary. By default, items automatically expire and are permanently purged after 24 hours, or as configured by the user.

Can someone outside my Wi-Fi network see my files?

In Same-Network mode, files are only visible to devices sharing your router IP address. If you need to share across different networks, use Link & Code Share with optional password protection.
